Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

  • Account & Contact Email you provide, nickname (if any), support communications.
  • App Data Local preferences (theme, window size/position, shortcuts), crash logs, performance metrics (anonymized or de-identified).
  • Chats & Prompts Text, files, or instructions you input (“User Content”). When you use cloud/model features, necessary data may be securely transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate responses.
  • Transactions App Store purchase/subscription identifiers and status (we do not access your full payment card details).
  • Device & Diagnostics Device model, OS/app version, general usage events and error codes to troubleshoot and improve stability.

By default we attempt local processing where feasible. When you enable online/model features, only the minimum necessary data is transmitted over encrypted channels to complete your request.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve features (including model generation, context storage, prompt optimization).
  • Debugging, performance monitoring, and security (abuse and spam prevention).
  • Service-related notices (updates, policy changes, important security alerts).
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., tax, lawful requests within scope).

3. Sharing & Processors

We do not sell personal information. We share/process only as needed:

  • AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI) to fulfill your chat/generation requests; we contract for confidentiality, security, and (where supported) opt-outs from training.
  • Infrastructure & Analytics for hosting, crash/diagnostic logging (minimum necessary, anonymized or de-identified where possible).
  • Legal disclosures where required by law or to protect users and the public.

Third parties process data under their own policies/terms; we vet suppliers for industry-standard security and compliance.

4. Retention & Security

  • Retention: kept only as long as necessary. You can clear history, disable cloud sync, or request deletion (if account features exist).
  • On-device: local data (e.g., chat history, preferences) stays in your macOS sandbox and can be removed by deleting the app/data.
  • Security: TLS in transit, encryption at rest (if our cloud is used), access controls, least privilege, and audit logging.
  • Breach Notice: we will notify you and regulators where legally required.

5. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA, etc.)

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; you may also opt out of targeted marketing. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf. We respond within statutory timelines.

6. Children’s Privacy

The service targets users aged 13+ (or local equivalent). We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe we inadvertently collected such data, contact [email protected] for deletion.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your jurisdiction (e.g., in the U.S.). We apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs, encryption, access controls).

8. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance.
